Rena is a partner at Ledbetter Partners LLC and has been with the firm since 2010. Her practice focuses on all aspects of apprenticeship and training programs. Rena provides counsel to apprenticeship plans on all matters, including ERISA benefit plan compliance, creating and updating both apprentice and employee policies and handbooks, compliance with EEO laws, human resources guidance, and collection of scholarship loan agreements. She advises plans on the avoidance and correction of prohibited transactions and their fiduciary duties as both trustees and employers. In addition to employee benefit compliance matters, Rena also handles litigation involving ERISA claims, employment discrimination claims and general collection matters.

Rena regularly speaks at conferences hosted by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and assisted in the creation of the IFEBP Apprenticeship Program Answer Guide.

Rena earned her law degree from The Ohio State University College of Law and her B.A. in Political Science from Saint Mary’s College, in Notre Dame, Indiana. She is licensed to practice law in Ohio, before the federal courts in the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio, the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana, before the U.S. Sixth and Seventh Circuit Courts of Appeals, and before the United States Supreme Court.
